Those who indicate willingness to join the organisation as members are usually taken through series of lessons. Topics in these lessons include teachings on basic Christian doctrines, the Christian life, church life, the believer’s relationship with material things and the material world, etc to ground the believer in the Lord. The prospective members are also taught the Tenet of Faith of the organisation and their relationship with the organisation. The individuals who successfully complete these classes will, upon the satisfaction of all requirements, be admitted as members.
Water Baptism is one of the two ordinances recognised by most Christian denominations as lay down by the Lord for the spiritual benefit of the Church. The other is the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion. In NTGC we believe and practices these ordinances.
The practice of water baptism is by total immersion and for consenting youth and adults. We do not believe in child baptism. We believe that individuals should be admitted for water baptism only if they are of age and able to take responsibility for their actions. These individuals should be able to consciously accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord, be able to understand and practice the Christian message and be able to confess their faith to others. Water baptism is prerequisite for becoming members of the organisation. For further details you can contact the office.
